On May 4, 2018, Kesha Gentry-Muhammad, 47, of Williamstown N.J. was arrested by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office on charges of insurance fraud and tampering with records in connection with a falsified invoice for repair of water damage that was submitted to the Comcast Corporation, Prosecutor Charles A. Fiore announced.
Gentry-Muhammad’s submission was to support a claim that a Comcast technician’s work in her home involved disconnection of a basement sump pump. A subsequent rainstorm flooded the basement, causing $14,470 in damage that required $2,618.96 in water and mold removal work, the claim stated. Gentry-Muhammad submitted an invoice for that amount from a firm she identified as “In Too Deep,” of Kearney N.J. No such firm exists.

The Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, insurer for Comcast, referred the claim to the GCPO, which investigated in partnership with the NJ Office of Insurance Fraud Prosecutor. Det. Saul Cintron is the investigator for the GCPO.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
