Westville Man Pleads Guilty to Bob’s News Stand Robbery

He will be sentenced in October.

On Tuesday, September 19, Kevin L. Frymyer, 35, of Westville pleaded guilty to robbing Bob’s News Stand on Broadway in Westville, according to a statement released by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. The robbery took place late last year.

In a negotiated plea, Assistant Gloucester County Prosecutor Steven Salvati will recommend that Frymyer be sentenced to eight years in New Jersey State Prison.


Sentencing is scheduled for October 27, 2017 before Superior Court Judge Robert P. Becker.

In the December 2, 2016 incident, Frymyer was accused of wielding a knife and pushing a store employee away to gain access to a cash register, from which about $800 was taken. The robber then fled.

Frymyer was arrested the next day after surveillance video was posted on the Westville Police Department’s Facebook page. Frymyer was identified as the robber and has been in jail in default of bail since his arrest.
