The Borough of Mt. Ephraim was recently awarded two grants totalling $50,000 to make improvements to Norcross Park ($25,000) and the Little League complex ($25,000).
Bellmawr’s Kennedy Boulevard will be reconstructed, thanks to a $217,000 Municipal Aid Grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).
At the May 4, 2017 Mt. Ephraim Commissioners’ meeting, the monthly police and fire reports were given. Several residents were also honored and updates concerning various street projects were provided.
Four Mt. Ephraim neighbors were honored for their quick thinking and involvement when a fire suddenly erupted on a porch in a nearby house. The four were honored and also credited for saving their neighbor’s home.
The left turn lane at West Kings Highway and Black Horse Pike in Mt. Ephraim has been widened. Additionally, a “Do Not Block” box has been painted at West Kings Highway and James Street.
The Mt. Ephraim School District announced the students of the Month for March. Five students were honored and presented with certificates during the April 10, 2017 Board of Education meeting. for their hard work.
The Philly Pretzel Factory is officially open for business at its new spacious location at 301 S. Black Horse Pike in Mt. Ephraim.
Leslie Koller will remain as the superintendent for the Mt. Ephraim School District for the next three years.
