Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Celebrating Runnemede Urgent Care Center

On June 27, 2017, Cooper University Health Care, along with Camden County Freeholders and Runnemede Mayor Nick Kappatos, celebrated the opening of the Runnemede Urgent Care Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The facility will open for patients on July 5, 2017.

On June 27, 2017 Cooper University Health Care held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest Urgent Care Center on the Black Horse Pike across from the Phily Diner and Sports Bar.

The center will be open to see patients beginning on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr., Camden County Freeholder Jonathan Young, and Runnemede Mayor Nick Kappatos joined Cooper University Health Care President and Chief Executive Officer, Adrienne Kirby, PhD and Michael E. Chansky, MD, Chief of Emergency Medicine at Cooper for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Dr. Kirby said: “Cooper’s Urgent Care Centers provide a much needed, convenient service to residents in our region who need immediate medical treatment. As the leading academic tertiary care health system in the region, we are committed to providing this level of care in locations that are convenient to where people live and work.”

Cooper is expanding its number of Urgent Care Centers. In May, Cooper opened its first Burlington County Urgent Care Center in Cinnaminson. In addition to the Cinnaminson location, Cooper also operates Urgent Care Centers in Cherry Hill and Audubon.

Cooper Urgent Care Centers provide medical care on a walk-in basis — no appointment is necessary.  Cooper has board-certified emergency medicine physicians ready to treat a range of health issues with the added benefit of providing X-ray services at the same location. All of Cooper’s Urgent Care Centers offer an advance reservation system through Cooper’s website. Patients simply reserve a spot online and arrive at the appropriate time to avoid long waits.

Dr. Chansky said: “Unlike other models of Urgent Care Centers, we have board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians — the same physicians who see patients in our emergency department in the hospital caring for patients. This high level of care is what sets us apart, as these doctors are trained to see the variety of injuries and illnesses that present in an emergency setting.”

Camden County Freeholder Director, Lou Cappelli, Jr. said: “Cooper University Health Care is a good neighbor here in Camden County. Their dedication to our community and their commitment to providing access to world-class healthcare is evident in all they do to improve the quality of life in Camden County.”

The Runnemede Urgent Care Center provides walk-in care seven days a week — Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
