Glou City Man Sentenced to 5-Year Prison Term for Sexually Assaulting Child

Miguel Palillero, 27, of Gloucester City was recently sentenced to five years in New Jersey State prison before Superior Court Judge Robert P. Becker. Palillero pled guilty to sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.

On March 9, 2018, Gloucester County Superior Court Judge Robert P. Becker sentenced Miguel Palillero, 27, of Gloucester City to a five-year New Jersey State prison term. Palillero pled guilty to sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13 in Westville between January 2013 and December 2014 when he was at least four years older, according to a statement released by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s office.

In sentencing Palillero for the second-degree crime, Judge Becker ordered that the state No Early Release Act applies to the prison term, requiring that a defendant serve 85 percent of the prison term before becoming eligible for parole.

Upon release, Palillero will be subject to the reporting requirements and restrictions of Megan’s Law for sex offenders.
