On Friday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m., there will be an exclusive film screening of Heroic Episodes, a series based on true veterans’ stories. The Monroe Township community will unite to support our veterans in an inspiring mosaic of community members, veterans, and merchants.
Various merchants from Williamstown, Washington Township, and surrounding areas are joining in to provide food and donations to support veterans in order to make the night memorable.
This special event will be held at VFW Post 1616, 1940 N. Black Horse Pike in Williamstown.
The night will be filled with live music from Rock By Babies and Gianna and Matt Caruso, food, open cash bar, and screening of the trailer and series short pilot episode “The Shooters Nail,” and will also feature interview with VFW Post 1616 veterans.
In addition, the project’s creator and producer, Lisa Regina, will hold a Q&A segment with her actors — some of whom will travel from New York City.
Regina is a South Jersey native who has been in NYC acting, writing, directing, and producing humanitarian projects for over 20 years. You might recognize her from the HBO series, The Sopranos.
She always makes it a point to come back home to South Jersey to share her projects with her hometown communities.
Heroic Episodes has provided veterans of all branches and all wars with jobs as consultants on the project and most importantly, a chance to tell their stories in each new episode.
Special tribute centerpieces that will dress the center of each of the 30 tables will include veterans’ photos and stories
Tribute stories can be submitted by family members, veterans and community members in advance at Facebook.com/HeroicEpisodes.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at VFW Post 1616 or on online by clicking here.
