According to a Legal Notice that was published on April 19, 2018, the Brooklawn Planning Board heard the case on March 14, 2018.

The Legal Notice states that the Brooklawn Planning Board “granted minor site plan approval with variances relating to minimum side yard setback and minimum number of on-site parking spaces …  to allow for the construction, establishment and maintenance of an approximately 1,200 square foot building addition as well as the removal of the second floor of the existing ‘Ming Kui Lau’ restaurant building and to use said building as an approximately 6,800 square foot AutoZone retail store with accessory on-site parking, loading area, identification signage and related site improvements.”

The decision of the Planning Board was memorialized in a written Resolution adopted by the Board on April 11, 2018.

This will be the second auto parts and accessories store in the Brooklawn Shopping Center. Advance Auto Parts is in the same strip as Hair Cuttery.

AutoZone has locations on the Black Horse Pike in Mt. Ephraim, on Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden, and on Broad Street in Woodbury.

On June 11, 2018, Ming Kui Lau changed their sign that they are closed.
