Public Hearing For Proposed, New 13 Acre Park at Bellmawr Waterfront Set for Feb. 4

*January 29, 2019 update: The public hearing for the proposed 13-acre Park at the Bellmawr Waterfront has been removed from the Planning Board’s February 4, 2019 agenda.

A Legal Notice published on January 23, 2019 has advertised a public hearing on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. before the Bellmawr Planning Board regarding the application of Bellmawr Waterfront Development, LLC for a “site plan, subdivision, variance or other relief from the Planning Board for proposing the development of certain sections of the referenced lots [Block: 78, 79.01 LOT: 1,2 9.01] as a new public waterfront park of approximately 13 acres in size.”

The park will include public bathroom facilities, nature trails, waterfront access points, exercise stations, benches, shade structures, educational stations, ADA accessible observation overlooks, and public parking, the Legal Notice states. “The Park will include existing Green Acres as well as new dedicated parkland in Bellmawr and Deptford.”

Documents relating to this application are on file with the Board Secretary and are available for inspection during regular business hours Monday-Friday at the Bellmawr Municipal Building, 21 E. Browning Road.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.

In October, 2018, SJO posted an article including the proposed waterfront development park with concepts.
